Hello all, hope you are well and thanks for stopping by today. Well I've finally ordered myself a Brother Scan N Cut CM900! I have wanted one for a while now but I've finally gone for it so can't wait for it to arrive and have a play! Onto today's card - this one used the new Bee Happy stamps by For The Love Of Stamps that come free with issue 10 of the magazine. The background has been created by repeatedly stamping the honeycomb stamp all over a piece of yellow paper and then inking the edges with some vintage photo Distress Ink. The stamped images on the topper have been coloured using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. The dotty border is another stamp from the set that I have stamped multiple times along the edge of the topper. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Crafting From The Heart #204 anything goes Creatalicious #138 anything goes with optional add a sentiment 613 Avenue Create #208 anything goes with optional twist to use

Steampunk Card

Image
The card I'm sharing today is not my usual style, but I actually really enjoyed making this one! I'd never really tried steampunk before but I will be definitely trying out this style again in the future. I have used the new For The Love Of Stamps "Key To My Heart" stamp set and coloured with vintage photo Distress Ink and a waterbrush. I created the background by picking up some of the ink that was on my large acrylic block (by wiping the paper through the ink), inking the edges of the card and using the co-ordinating masks over the top. I will be entering this card into the following challenges: A Bit More Time To Craft #66 anything goes Crafting From The Heart #203 anything goes Pammie's Inky Pinkies #1816 anything goes

Butterflies and Flowers

Image
Today I'm sharing another of my samples made for the new For The Love Of Stamps launch, and for this one I've created a very girly card! I have used the Butterfly Wishes and Floral Favourites stamps on this one. With these stamp sets, there are also matching Hunkydory Moonstone dies (Beautiful Butterflies and Fabulous Flowers) so that you can die cut out your stamped images, making it super easy. The sentiment and flourish stamps are both from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set. I have shaped both the flowers, leaves and butterflies by hand to give some dimension. I have used Hunkydory Adorable Scorable Matt-Tastic card, FTLOS white ink me! card, FTLOS midnight black superior stamping card and some vellum for the bottom layer of the flowers. I have stamped with black Versafine ink and dusty concord Distress Ink and I also added some white Nuvo drops to finish. The finished size is 7"x7". Image
Hello all, thanks for stopping by today and for any comments you leave. The weather here is beautiful at the moment - very warm and sunny - hope it's nice too wherever you are. It's time for our new challenge over at Crafty Catz, and this week our theme is anything goes with the optional twist of "Clean and Simple". A Day For Daisies are sponsoring us this time, and I have used the super cute  Little Striped Dress digi stamp to create this simple notebook. I added a white panel to the front of the blue notebook (I sanded some of the shiny surface off the front of the notebook first so that the glue could adhere properly). I have coloured the stamp in using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens, fussy cut it out and added it to the notebook with foam pads. Not sure I am entirely happy with how the balloons came out as I've never tried colouring translucent images like this before - more practice is needed! I will be entering this one into the following challeng

Lacy Sunshine is our sponsor this week, and I have used the gorgeous Rory's Wisteria digi stamp for this card. A super simple card for this one, but using colours I don't usually put together - purple and yellow. I thought they were perfect spring colours though. Home MDF Plaque

Image
Hello all, hope you had a good Easter and didn't eat too much chocolate! It was a shame the weather was so rubbish but at least it was perfect crafting weather. Today I'm sharing a homemade MDF plaque. This was something a bit different for me but I really enjoyed making it. The papers are from Hunkydory's Garden Treasures matt-tastic adorable scorable. I chose not to paint or prime the blank MDF shape as the brown tone matched well with the kraft card. The topper is made using Sue Wilson's Bermuda dies. The flowers were cut using Hunkydory's fabulous flowers Moonstone dies, and the butterfly is from Hunkydory's beautiful butterflies Moonstone dies. The kraft leaves were cut using Sue Wilson's olive branch dies. I have hand-written the sentiment.
