Fairy Pop Out Card

Image
Hello all, hope you are well. Today I'm sharing the last of my samples made for the latest For The Love Of Stamps release. I tried something a little different with this one - a pop out card. It was actually so much fun to make, which reminds me I should try different card shapes and styles more often! I have used the Flutterbye Fairies stamp set on this one, and coloured the stamped images in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils, with some glitter glue accents. I have also used the coordinating mask . The cardstock I have used is Adorable Scorable matt-tastic. I created the card base using my Ultimate Pro, and hand cut the star aperture. The fairy is suspended on a piece of acetate. Crafty Catz Challenge - Birthdays

Image
We have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Catz this week - as always we are anything goes with an optional twist, which this week is "birthdays". Our sponsor this week is Time For Tea, and I got to play with the gorgeous banner girl digi stamp to make this card. I coloured her in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. The papers I have used are from For The Love Of Stamps polka dots perfect backgrounds stamping pad and American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm paper pad. I have used an embossing folder on one of the layers and sanded back the design to reveal the white core of the paper. I have also used a doily die (Sara's Signature Shabby Chic collection) and some Die'sire heart dies. The sentiment stamp is from the For The Love Of Stamps Hooked on You stamp set. Some organza ribbon and Tonic Nuvo drops were the finishing touches. The card measures 6"x6". I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Crafty Gals Corner

Cake Card

Image
Hello all, hope you are well. Today I'm sharing one of my samples made using the A Slice Of Happiness stamp set by For The Love Of Stamps. I really love these stamps as there's so much that you can do with them. I stamped the cake, candle and plate onto some For The Love Of Stamps ink me!  card, masking to create the effect that it's all one big stamp. I coloured it in using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. I stamped the sentiment in the top right hand corner, and added some colour and glitter glue. I added a brown mat (Hunkydory matt-tastic card), and stuck it to my card blank (an ink me! 5"x7" card blank cut down slightly). Crafty Catz Challenge - Use Pretty Ribbon

Image
It's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz, and this week our theme is anything goes with the optional twist of "use pretty ribbon". Crafty Ribbons  are sponsoring us this week, so one lucky person will be winning a great prize! We are also having a GDT call for March, so why not give it a go. The image I have used is from Crafters Companion's Halcyon Days range, printed from a CD rom. This card is actually the one I gave to my sister, who's birthday was yesterday. This image was perfect because I have bought her a voucher to go for afternoon tea as part of her present! The dotty paper is from the For The Love Of Stamps polka dots Perfect Backgrounds Stamping Pad, and the cream one is from an old Tatty Teddy paper pad (the striped cream paper is from a cheap unbranded paper pack). I added kraft card, a die cut doily, pearls and of course some pretty ribbon. I used some lovely polka dot cream organza ribbon (by Three Kings Ribbon), and added a bow to

Baby Box Frame Card

Today I'm sharing one of my samples made using the For The Love Of Stamps Bundles of Joy stamp set. This card was actually featured in Issue 9 of the For The Love Of Stamps magazine. The images were stamped using black Versafine ink onto For The Love Of Stamps ink me!  stamping card. I coloured the stamped images in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils, and some of the pieces were paper pieced with some lightly patterned paper. I added a grey frame with apertures cut in it above the stamped images, using foam pads to raise it up. I added some glitter glue accents to finish. The finished card size is 6"x6". I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Fab n Funky #381 babies, children or men Lemon Shortbread #61 anything goes Digi Choosday week 07 anything goes

Fairy Shaker Card

Image
Hello all, hope you are well. Thanks for stopping by today. My card that I am sharing features the beautiful Flutterbye Fairies stamp set by For The Love Of Stamps, and for this one I have created a shaker card. I used the co-ordinating mask with Dusty Concord and Spun Sugar Distress Inks to ink my card blank with a star design. I cut a square frame from some pink Hunkydory matt-tastic Adorable Scorable  and added a thin border of silver mirri to the middle. I attached acetate across the aperture and raised this frame up on foam pads. I added the silver and white glitter to the centre of the card blank before sticking the frame over the top to enclose the glitter and hence create the shaker element. The fairies are stamped using a black Versafine ink pad and coloured in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils, with some glitter glue accents on the wings. I added these to the card using foam pads for some dimension. I would like to enter this card into the following ch

Make a Wish Fruit Card

Image
Today I am sharing another of my samples made for the latest For The Love Of Stamps release. This card was actually featured in Issue 9 of the For The Love Of Stamps magazine, which I was very excited about! I have used the A Slice Of Happiness stamp set on this one. I stamped the cherry, raspberry and strawberry around the edge of a piece of For The Love Of Stamps ink me! card. I stamped the make a wish sentiment in the middle and coloured the fruit in using my Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I matted the piece onto some black For The Love of Stamps stamping card , then onto one of the gold mirri mats  (cut down to the size I wanted it). I added a piece of white ink me! card onto my 5"x5" ink me! card blank , added the topper to the middle and a couple of white pearls in opposite corners. A Very Cheesy Card...

Image
Today I'm sharing the card I made for my dad's birthday. I must admit, I do usually find it quite difficult to make men's cards but I am actually pretty pleased with this one (but it could do with a few girly flowers and flourishes, right?!!) I've used the Cheesy But Grate stamp set by For The Love Of Stamps - I love these stamps, they are so unusual! I stamped the cheeses, board and cutlery separately and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. I then cut out all the separate parts and layered them together. The sentiment is also from the same set of stamps. The backing paper I have used is from the For The Love Of Stamps Beautifully Bright Perfect Backgrounds Stamping Pad. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Crafting By Designs anything goes Lemon Shortbread #60 anything goes Penny's Challenge #366 anything goes

Crafty Catz Challenge - Love is in the Air

Image
Hello all - hope you are well, thanks for stopping by. We have a new challenge for you this week over at Crafty Catz - anything goes with the optional theme of love is in the air. Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine, and I have used the Flowers For My Love digi stamp on this card. I printed the image onto Canson C a grain paper and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I matted the image onto some brown card and added that to my 6"x4" white card blank. I stamped the love heart stamp from the For The Love Of Stamps sweet wishes stamp set with the be mine sentiment onto white card, and added some colour with my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens. I fussy cut it out and added it to the top right hand side of the card with foam pads. A very simple card but this allows the image to be the real focus of the card. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: The Crafty Addicts #45 anything goes/all loved up Cute Card Thursday #516 lov

Baby's Dummy Box

Image
Today I'm sharing something very different - a baby dummy's box! I wanted to make a gift box with the For The Love Of Stamps Bundles of Joy stamp set, and I thought a pair of dummies would make quite a useful gift to new parents! The box itself is made from 2 sheets of blue Hunkydory adorable scorable matt-tastic card. I constructed the box and inked through the coordinating Bundles of Joy mask  with peacock feathers Distress Ink onto the sides of the box. I stamped the pram with black Versafine ink onto For The Love Of Stamps ink me! stamping card and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens, adding some glitter glue to the bow. I matted it onto a Hunkydory silver square mirri mat (cut down to the size I wanted it) and stuck this to the top of the box. I added some white tissue paper inside the box, along with a pair of blue dummies! I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Creative Moments #136 anything goes Digi Choosday

Pop Up Box Card

Image
Today I'm sharing something a bit different for me - a pop up box card. I had never made a card like this before, but when I first saw the " Flutterbye Fairies " stamp set by For The Love of Stamps I knew I wanted to create the effect of the fairies flying through the air. This project is featured in the For The Love of Stamps magazine issue 9, which is now available to buy on the Hunkydory website here. The magazine has full instructions of how to construct this card. In addition to the fairy stamps, I have also used the coordinating mask , the pretty pastel  perfect backgrounds stamping pad and the polka dots perfect backgrounds stamping pad. The stamped images are all stamped with black Versafine ink and coloured in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. The windows and doors have some glossy accents added, and I also added some glitter glue to the fairies' wings. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Artistic Inspirat

Make a Wish

Image
My card today uses the new "a slice of happiness" stamp set and mask by For The Love Of Stamps. I really love this set, and although the main stamp in the set is a slice of cake, I've done a few cards just using the smaller stamps in the set, so it's definitely a versatile set of stamps. I stamped the candle many times across the bottom of a piece of Hunkydory ink me! stamping card using black Versafine ink and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I stamped the words "make a" onto the top of the panel using the alphabet stamps from the "bundles of joy" stamp set by For The Love of Stamps. I matted this piece onto some gold card, and added that to my 5"x5" Hunkydory ink me! card blank  with foam pads. I created the "wish" piece by inking through the coordinating mask with black ink onto the ink me! card. I added a gold border to this piece, and stuck the piece to the card front using foam pads.

Baby Pram Card

Image
Hello all, hope you are well. It's pretty cold where I am at the moment so perfect weather for getting lots of crafting done! Today I'm sharing one of my samples made using the For The Love Of Stamps Bundles of Joy stamp set and mask. I created the backing piece by inking through the mask with dusty concord and spun sugar Distress Inks onto a square of pink paper (from the pretty pastel perfect backgrounds stamping pad). This was adhered to my 7"x7" ink me! white card blank . The next layer up is the mask inked through with spun sugar Distress Ink onto white ink me! cardstock. The pram stamp is stamped with black Versafine ink onto the ink me! stamping card, and is coloured in with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils, with a little glitter glue added (of course!). The grey mats is paper from the perfectly natural perfect backgrounds stamping pad, with the very edges lightly inked with black ink. The pearls in the corners are done with white Tonic Nuvo drops.

Christmas Fairies

Image
Today I'm sharing the first of my samples made for this month's For The Love Of Stamps by Hunkydory launch. Did you catch the launch show on Create and Craft TV this morning? I can't believe how fast everything sold out! The lovely stamps and masks should be available soon on the Hunkdory website . I am also very excited to say that 3 of my projects have been published in the For The Love Of Stamps magazine (issue 9)! This will soon be available to buy on the Hunkdory website, so keep an eye out for that, as it comes with some fab stamps and masks. Onto the card I'm sharing today - I have used the beautiful Flutterbye Fairies stamp set and masks to create a Christmas card (I'm either very early or a couple of months late!). The word magic is from the mask that goes with the Flutterbye Fairies stamp set, and I created an ombre effect with black ink and used a black fineliner around the edges to add definition. I used the alphabet stamps from the Bundles of J

Crafty Catz Challenge - One For The Girls

Image
Hello all, hope you are well. As some of you may know, I was GDT for Crafty Catz Challenge for January. But they have asked me to stay on as part of their design team...and of course I said yes! We have a new challenge for you today - it is anything goes with the optional theme of "one for the girls". This week Star Stamps is sponsoring us, and they kindly gave us some beautiful images to play with. On my card I have used the Belle Chibi digi stamp. The digi stamp was printed onto Canson "C" à grain paper (it has a bit of a "tooth" to it so is better for use with coloured pencils than a super smooth card) and I coloured the image in using my Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I really enjoyed colouring this one in - I'm pretty happy with how the pleats turned out but I definitely need to practice a bit more! I inked around the edges to give more of a vintage look. The papers are from different pads picked up cheaply (some are some old Paperma

Mari Ko Creations Cactus

Image
It's new release day over at Mari Ko Creaions, and I have used the new Love Cactus Collection to create this card. I love these cute stamps, and one of the great things about digital stamps is that you can resize the images to your heart's content - I do this on a word document which is really easy to do. I coloured the cacti in using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens and fussy cut them out (definitely a fiddly task, but I do enjoy cutting out intricate images!). I mounted these (using 3D foam) onto a square of white card with brown and red mats. This was added to my 6"x6" white card blank with foam pads. The sentiment is also from the same set of digi stamps, and I mounted the square of white onto the same brown and red papers. I will be entering this one into the following challenges: Crafty Friends #76 anything goes http://craftyfriendschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2018/01/challenge-76-and-winners-of-challenge-75.html Crafty Creations #359 anything goes h
