Lilly's Craft Corner

Today I'm sharing another of my MDF plaques that I made a while back. I made 2 very similar plaques at the same time (just switching up the colours), and the matching plaque to this one can be found on my blog here . The blue lightly patterned paper is from Hunkydory's Garden Treasures Adorable Scorable matt-tastic card selection and the matching plain blue card is from Hunkydory's Adorable Scorable matt-tastic card pack. I have also used some white and kraft card, along with some white crochet lace. The centre die used is Sue Wilson's Bermuda die and the sentiment is done by hand. The flowers have been cut using Hunkydory's Fabulous Flowers Moonstone dies and the butterfly is from the Beautiful Butterflies Moonstone dies. The foliage has been cut using Sue Wilson's olive branches dies. Some Nuvo drops were added to finish and I threaded twine through the 2 holes to create the hanging element. It's time for the start of this week's challenge over at Crafty Catz and our theme is anything goes with the option of Christmas in May. I know Christmas might seem a way off (especially with the nice weather we've been having) but it's always a good idea to get ahead and start on those Christmas cards early! Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this week and they kindly gave the team some images to work with. I've chosen to use the lovely Reindeer Trio digi stamp for this card. I've kept the card really simple as there is so much going on in the image that it doesn't need much doing to it. I printed the image onto For The Love Of Stamps white colour me! card (this is ideal for use with alcohol pens as it's super smooth, making it easy to blend the colours together) and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens, adding some dotty details to look like parts were paper-pieced. I stuck the image straight onto the card blank using foam pads. I'

Today I'm sharing the last of my samples made for the recent Hunkydory Return Of The Little Paws launch. This is quite a simple card in design but I'm actually pretty pleased with how it turned out! I have used the A Purr-fect Day, Just Fur You and Paws and Petals stamp sets on this DL card, as well as the co-ordinating 8"x8" paper pad. I have used Spectrum Noir alcohol pens to colour with. Other card used is white ink me! card and midnight black superior stamping card. Today I'm sharing the last of my samples made for the latest For The Love Of Stamps launch. I have used the  Shiver Me Timbers! stamp set to create this card. I have stamped using black Versafine ink and coloured the images in using Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. The skull border was created by stamping the little skull and cross bones stamp multiple times along the edge of the card. The cardstock used is For The Love Of Stamps white ink me! card and midnight black and kraft superior stamping card.The finished size is 5"x7". For this card I have used silhouette stamps for the first time! I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive as I'm so used to colouring in my stamped images, but I actually had so much fun working with these stamps to create this card. The stamps I have used are the For The Love Of Stamps Let's Go Fly a Kite stamp set. The background was created using Distress Inks (dusty concord, weathered wood and peacock feathers) and I splattered some water over the top. I have stamped using black Versafine for a really clear and crisp image. The cardstock used is For The Love Of Stamps white ink me! card and For The Love Of Stamps midnight black superior stamping card for the mat. The finished size is 5"x5". Today I'm sharing something a little bit different - a box of handmade earrings! I created the earrings by stamping a butterfly from the For The Love Of Stamps Butterfly Wishes stamp set twice onto Shrinkies clear shrink plastic (I used black StazOn to stamp with). I coloured in the butterflies (on the reverse) and cut them out, punching a hole just above the image and cutting round that to create a little loop. I then baked them in the oven so they shrunk down. Once cooled, I added some earring findings. I created the box out of Adorable Scorable matt-tastic card, adding another piece of card into the box with 2 holes punched in for the earrings to hang from. I die-cut the aperture into the box lid using one of the dies from Hunkydory's Beautiful Butterflies die set and added acetate behind. Hello all, hope you are well and the weather is nice where you are like it is here! Today I'm sharing a relatively CAS card made using the new For The Love Of Stamps Shed Loads Of Love stamp set. This card was featured in Issue 10  of the For The Love Of Stamps magazine, where you can find full step-by-step instructions of how to create this card. It's Friday again which means we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Catz. This week our theme is anything goes with the optional twist to add flowers. All Dressed Up is our sponsor this week and they have kindly given us some gorgeous images to work with - I've chosen to use My Little Flower Girl. I have coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I actually printed onto the wrong type of card (I printed onto super smooth card instead of my pencil card that has more of a "tooth" to it!) but I do quite like the soft effect of the colouring. The papers I have used are from Hunkydory's Garden Treasures 8"x8" paper pad and I have added some pink Centura Pearl for the mats. I've also used some Distress Inks (dusty concord and spun sugar) on the edges of the topper, dotty piece and flowers. All the flowers are handmade, using dies to cut them out. I have finished with some Nuvo crystal drops. The finished card is 6"x6".

Today I'm sharing a card made using the new For The Love Of Stamps Born To Ballet stamps. I have created a diorama card to give the effect that the ballerinas are on a stage. Today I'm sharing one of my makes using the brand new Return Of The Little Paws collection by Hunkydory. This collection is so cute and perfect for animal lovers. Here I have used the stamps and 8"x8" paper pad to create a fold-back card. I used my new Hunkydory Adorable Scoreboard to create the base card. The stamp set used on this one is called Paws and Petals. I have stamped using black Versafine ink and coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils. I also added some Hunkydory gold mirri card and a few Hunkydory gold gemstones.
